WRMC- yes
Northwest Med.-yes
Willow Creek- yes
St. Mary's/Mercy- yes
(A note about St. Mary/Mercy- they are considered by many in the birth community to be the most mother friendly hospital in the area.  There are rumors that Dr. Chris Johnson and Dr. Scott Smith are VBAC friendly. Dr.Sarver is no longer VBAC friendly according to several of her recent patients.)

Where CAN you get a VBAC in NWA?

Are these hospitals safer?
Are their doctors better?
Why are these women getting VBAC's and women in NWA are not?!!!

VBAC FACT
Vaginal Delivery After Cesarean (VBAC) is 60-90% effective. The risk of uterine rupture is less than 1%. Even then, the mother and baby are usually fine.
So, why the ban?
The OB's blame it on the anesthesiologist's, who blame  the hospitals, who blame the insurance companies.

Who is profiting?
 A vaginal delivery is around $10,000.00 , a C-section is around $20,000.00.

What can you do?
Get involved! Women across ARKANSAS are working very hard on this issue. If you want a VBAC in an area where they are banned you CAN do something about it!
